Financial Literacy in adult education
The project
Finally
The project aims to promote financial literacy in the basic education of adults in an action-orientated way. The questions are: What innovative learning materials and methods can be used to support adults with basic education needs in developing financial literacy? What training opportunities do teachers and counsellors from consumer advice centres need for further training? Digital learning and teaching materials are being developed, tested and evaluated for this purpose. Interviews will be conducted and qualitatively analysed in order to identify the needs of the target group and obtain feedback on the materials. Short questionnaires on the learning experience supplement the feedback potential. Qualification programmes are developed, tested and evaluated for course instructors. Needs assessments are based on interviews and qualitative analyses are incorporated into the optimisation process. Think-aloud methods and evaluation questionnaires support the further development of the materials in several design cycles. Focus groups are used to analyse the needs of the consumer advice centres' advisors. The testing and evaluation of the counselling concepts is also based on think-aloud and evaluation questionnaires. Finally, all materials are integrated into the lea.online application network. Usability interviews, thinking-aloud protocols, evaluation questionnaires, log and error analyses check compliance with the requirements criteria in several design cycles.
