Media usage and intelligent tools in financial education
The project
MINTIFY
Financial education is crucial for personal and social prosperity. It helps citizens to understand economic and financial processes and improves their decision-making skills.
We investigate which media, digital education practices and interactive tools people use in the financial education process and to what extent voice and text-based AI tools influence their decision-making skills. Our research hypothesis is that financial literacy is created through practices in the use of educational media and can be improved by adaptive AI tools.
We use design-based research and design thinking to create innovative educational programmes and practical AI demonstrators. Our project pursues a mixed-method approach that combines qualitative studies on media use with quantitative surveys in order to identify target group-specific needs and design customised financial education measures.
In collaboration with practice partners, we are developing adaptive AI-supported learning assistance systems to support consumers both in formal educational institutions and in everyday financial decisions.
Unser Beitrag zur nationalen Bildungsstrategie liegt in der Entwicklung innovativer Technologie, um Menschen eine bedarfsgerechte, effektive Finanzbildung zu ermöglichen.
